Painter, sculptor and carver, living and working in Eketahuna since 1980 where he has established a large studio workshop and gallery. He has had over 30 solo exhibitions.
A Masterton based artist who works in a number of media. Known for his lifelike ceramic eels he has also created a wide range of ceramic sculptures, as well as functional items.
A Barry Brickell protegee, Petra creates domestic ware and sculptures fired at 1300°C with reduction. The clay used is mostly stoneware clay mixed with some Coromandel clay.
